The plot on which the future private residence is to be created is located on one of Faraya’s steep mountain faces. The concept behind the project was to respect and understand the nature embracing it, to blend in with that nature, to survive it, and then to defy it. The house’s ground footprint is minimal; it represents the smallest floor level from which the project inversely grows. Each level embraces partly the nature directly connected to it and adopts its material from one side, before detaching itself from it and creating its own contemporary rhythm. Each level acts as a shelter for the level below it, casting its shadow, alleviating nature’s hot summer rays and breaking its winter snows. The project in itself is celebration of nature and a celebration of human revolution.
