Mamluk Hammam Shelter

Year 2021Location Baalbek, LebanonStatus On Hold

A protective shelter conceived for the Mamluk-era hammam in Baalbek, designed as a modern addition that shields the bathhouse structure while reinterpreting its spatial character for contemporary use. Rather than a neutral cover, the intervention engages the hammam's sequence of vaulted chambers, extending it into a considered visitor pathway that connects the site to Baalbek's wider tourist experience.
